JohnsonDCWF Code: 011Security Clearance: SecretDOD 8140 Compliance: RequiredPosition Overview:The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for managing inventory, overseeing the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and equipment. This role involves ensuring accuracy in stock management, maintaining inventory control systems, and coordinating with other departments to meet operational needs. The position requires compliance with DOD 8140 standards and the ability to maintain a Secret Clearance.Key Responsibilities:Inventory Management: Track and manage inventory levels, ensuring accurate records of stock. Perform regular inventory checks and audits to verify quantities and conditions of materials.Material Handling: Oversee the receipt, inspection, and storage of goods. Ensure that all materials are properly labeled and stored according to safety and operational standards.Distribution Coordination: Manage the distribution of materials to various departments. Coordinate with logistics teams to schedule shipments and track delivery progress.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, and issues. Prepare and process necessary documentation for inventory adjustments and reports.System Management: Utilize inventory management software and tools to update and track stock levels. Ensure data accuracy and report discrepancies or issues to management.Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all safety and security regulations. Ensure compliance with DOD 8140 standards and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.Customer Service: Provide support to internal stakeholders by addressing inquiries related to inventory and material availability. Assist in resolving any issues related to material supply.Qualifications:Experience: Previous experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or a related field is preferred.Education: High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or training in warehouse management is a plus.Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with inventory management systems.
