The Opportunity:

Delaware North Australia are seeking a Warehouse & Stock Manager to oversee the daily operation of our Stores department at Melbourne Airport. In this role, you will manage a small team and be responsible in maintaining stock levels of core products in our business. This role is heavily involved in HACCP Food Safety Standards and OHS regulations.

To be considered for this position

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role in a warehouse environment
  • Experience with database management computer systems
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to delegate and provide clear concise instructions
  • Strong manual handling ability
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend and lift for long periods of time
  • Basic math skills
  • A high attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously
  • Reliable own transport as some shifts are not supported by public transport to and/or from the airport

Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of employees, assigning tasks and the ongoing coaching and training of the team
  • Receiving, distribution and transferring of physical inventory
  • Maintaining a delivery log and checking all items versus the purchase orders.
  • Overseeing HACCP and OHS compliance.
  • Managing reporting and inventory ongoing
  • Communicate any supplier, quality control or shipping issues with the General Manager and Operations Manager
What will you bring?:
  • Food Safety Certificate
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Suite
  • Proficient in numeracy and literacy skills
  • Walkie Stacker Certificate is favourable
  • Certificate in Asset Management or Warehouse Operations highly regarded
Physical Requirements:
  • Flexibility to work across various days, weekends and public holidays
  • Early morning availability (5AM) is required
