**Job Description**

The Distribution Center Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily operations of a warehouse, which may include, but are not limited to, shipping and receiving, purchasing, costing, budget control, inventory control, and performing the following duties.

**Essential Job Duties**

* Analyzes and organizes office operations and procedures such as bookkeeping, preparation of payrolls, personnel, information management, filing systems, requisition of supplies, and other clerical services.

* Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.

* Inspects loading and unloading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications.

* Maintains space, equipment, and supplies; manages inventory, transfers, and product rotation.

* Develops and implements improved methods of material handling, stock control, and packaging to promote efficiency, services, and reduce cost.

* Conducts periodic or special inventory audits and reconciles physical counts.

* Develops record-keeping procedures and manages appropriate department records in accordance with applicable regulations, policies, and standards.

* As appropriate to the position, participates in the development of operating goals and objectives for the department and facility; recommends, implements, and administers methods and procedures to enhance operation.

* Assists in the annual budget planning process and regularly monitors expenditures. Studies and standardizes procedures to improve the efficiency of subordinates.

* Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances.

* Maintains area in accordance with all internal and external regulatory guidelines i.e., OSHA, FDA, DOT, etc.

* Responsible for meeting respective shift(s) goals for five (5) areas of accountability: safety, quality, cost, customer service, and citizenship.

* May perform other duties as required.

**Scope of Responsibility**

The primary duty is managing and scheduling all productions for the plant, which comprises roughly 85-90% of their time. The position is responsible for job plans, organizing, supervising, controlling, and evaluating the work of direct reports. This position gives input and particular weight in decision making for interviewing, hiring, appraising performance, rewarding and discipline, firing and/or change in status. This job has approximately 45 direct reports and indirect reports in the following jobs: Coord, Operations Support & Workforce Scheduling Specialist. Directly supervises respective shift(s) of employees in the Warehouse.

**Education and Experience**

Bachelor's Degree from four-year College or university; a minimum of 1-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

**Professional Licenses or Certifications**

Current Driver's License required. Must be Forklift certifiable by passing company required testing.
