Job DescriptionWAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR(3rd Shift)Pennsylvania Steel Company, Inc.Naugatuck, CTFull Time / Permanent OpportunityWAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR - 3rd SHIFTPennsylvania Steel has been in business since 1972 and has multiple locations on the east coast becoming one of the largest Steel Service Centers in the eastern United States.The Naugatuck, CT location is looking for a hardworking and driven Warehouse Supervisor to lead our third shift. If you are a dependable and hands on individual who is looking for a rewarding career with an established company, we want to hear from you!JOB DESCRIPTION:The role of 3rd Shift Warehouse Supervisor entails responsibility for performing and supervising material handling in metals processing and distribution work. Work includes specialized equipment operation and/or supporting functions in loading trucks.Hours: Sunday through Thursday: 11:00pm to 7:30am schedule. At time of hire: training is conducted Monday-Friday, 4pm - 12:30am for a minimum of 3 weeks.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
    • Provides direct supervision and guidance to 3rd shift team. Provides disciplinary action recommendations, as well as performance evaluation. Assure compliance with company policies and regulations.
    • Assure work order related documents are completed correctly and on time.
    • Exercise sound judgment and leadership for quality decisions.
    • Utilize effective judgment in notification of serious matters related to safety, personnel or operational emergencies.
Knowledge & Skills
    • Ability to read, interpret and evaluate procedures and specifications.
    • Highly disciplined, problem-solver, logical thinking, troubleshooting team player with a strong work ethic. Self-Motivated & Dependable.
    • Basic arithmetic skills to calculate and convert decimals and fractions required.
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
Experience and SkillsMinimum Qualifications
  • 2 to 4 years' Supervisory experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree preferred.
  • Forklift operations desirable & working in a warehouse environment
