About the Role

The Warehouse Supervisor plans, directs, coordinates, and controls material handling activities in assigned work area to achieve established goals and oversees the flow of material from ASRS to production floor. Supervises assigned team members to receive inbound material, manage warehouse organization, oversee yard management, process outbound shipments to achieve on time customer delivery while maintaining a safe working environment. Responsibilities include direction and training of employees, monitoring inventory levels and enforcement of health, safety, and environmental policies.

What You Will Do
  • Plans and executes the daily activities required to manage inbound & outbound deliveries to support production.
  • Anticipates problems and delays for production schedules and corrects through problem solving and troubleshooting.
  • Achieves Safety, Quality, Cost and Time (SQCT) Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Controls labor and materials usage to meet or improve standard costs.
  • Coordinates and communicates with managers to ensure standardization of material handling operations.
  • Handles all administrative duties and paperwork.
  • Investigates material variances and reports results of investigations to Manager.
  • Addresses long and short-term quality concerns and provides feedback to production, engineering, and quality teams.
  • Supervises day-to-day activities for material handling technicians, including scheduling and approval of overtime.
  • Tracks and maintains employee records related to attendance, performance, and safety.
  • Instructs and trains employees to be quality-oriented, safety-conscious, and efficient.
  • Ensures technicians operate in a safe and efficient manner, following all safety guidelines and rules.
  • Proactively identifies and addresses safety concerns before an incident occurs.
  • Facilitates implementation of post-incident countermeasures to improve safety performance.
  • Prepares One Point Lessons (OPL) and Standard Operating Sheets (SOS) in support of Envision AESC Production Way (EAPW).
What You Need
  • Three to five years of related experience at the professional level required.
  • One or two years of post-high school education. Consider equivalent related college or technical courses, seminars and in-house classroom training.
  • Background in material handling and warehouse management principles
  • Prefer two to five years in a work leader role coordinating the work of other employees and contractors.
  • Excellent communication and motivational skills.
  • Working knowledge of material handling and warehouse management principles.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9000 international manufacturing quality standards and ISO 14001 environmental standards for equipment maintenance and calibration.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Responsibilities may include training new employees, assigning work, and checking the timeliness and quality of work and provided input into performance reviews.

Work Environment

The work environment is primarily an automated manufacturing plant with a concrete floor and is characterized by some temperature extremes, moderate noise, and forklift traffic. The individual must be able to perform all essential functions as appropriate on the plant floor, in meetings, and with employees, management, customers and suppliers.
