Hughes Company, Inc. team!Job SummaryThe Warehouse Supervisor oversees daily warehouse logistics to operate at maximum efficiency, while identifying opportunities for process improvement. The successful candidate is expected to lead by example by working alongside employees and fostering a positive work environment. This position is primarily responsible for delegating various warehouse tasks such as order fulfillment, receiving and unloading, shipping, inventory, and control. This role is expected to adhere to all company policies and safety protocols.Core ResponsibilitiesManage and supervise the day-to-day warehouse duties and responsibilities to meet and exceed operational targets; ensure that all warehouse activities are performed safely and in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).Manage order pulling by pulling customer orders from warehouse shelves, ensuring accuracy based on the item number, serial numbers, size, quantity, etc.Perform checks and balances to confirm physical inventory counts match the inventory records. Perform regular counts.Receiving and UnloadingReceive warehouse orders, inspect items received, match the delivery to a purchase order, log received items into warehouse management system and follow up on orders in case of delays.Promptly load and unload palletized freight; move products and supplies from receiving or storage area to shipping or other designated areas.Organize and maintain stock orders prior to shelving.Perform checks and balances to confirm physical inventory counts match the inventory records.Quality ControlPromote operational excellence and identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction; perform quality assurance checks.Inspect products for defects and damages.Ensure proper Product Certifications and Safety Data Sheets are included on each order where applicable.Must be Hazmat Certified and oversee the packing and shipping of hazardous materials.Operations ManagementManage daily warehouse duties and responsibilities based on standard operating procedures (SOPs).Perform warehouse audits of the operations, processes, and inventory management to help identify areas for improvement within the warehouse.Communicate with the management team to provide regular updates and promptly communicate any issues; provide solutions to resolve discrepancies and fulfill customer orders.Coaching & Mentoring (Training)Conduct warehouse observations, demonstration lessons/best practices, and provide feedback to employees.Train and mentor employees in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).Onboard and ensure new employees receive the appropriate training to effectively perform job duties.Basic QualificationsHigh School diploma or GED equivalentAt least 5+ years previous warehouse experienceSupervisor experience required.SkillsPeople and Communication SkillsMentoring & CoachingProblem Solving and Critical ThinkingOrganizational skills.Time ManagementCertifications & LicensesForklift Certified or minimum of 3 years' experience operating some type of warehouse equipment.Proven experience handling hazardous and non-hazardous items in accordance with OSHA and internal protocols.Lean or Lean Six Sigma yellow / green belt certification.Physical RequirementsAbility to operate standard warehouse equipment.Ability to lift/pull/push up to 100 lbs.The employee must have a full range of body movements.Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Working ConditionsWorking in a warehouse mainly requires manual labor. Warehouse associates frequently work on their feet and may do a substantial amount of lifting over a long shift.#J-18808-Ljbffr
