Job Description:
Our New Orleans office is seeking a Warehouse Production Supervisor needed for one of our clients in Reserve, LA.Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Performs major duties/clerical tasks of warehouse or packaging employees in work area.
  • Enforce compliance with regulations and Company policies.
  • Enforces safe work practices and the use of personal protective equipment.
  • Supervises the work of packaging, warehouse and/or trucking employees in the absence of manager or superintendent.
  • Loads or supervises the loading of bulk shipments.
  • Assists with and supervises bleach manufacturing.
  • Assists with and supervises compressed gas or warehouse operations.
  • Dispatches and supervises truck drivers.
  • Performs minor equipment maintenance.
  • Assists with hiring and/or training.
  • Schedules interdistrict shipments.
  • Maintains daily inventories and/or completes monthly inventories.
  • Supervises laboratory operations.
  • Orders and/or schedules the delivery of raw materials and products.
  • Performs safety inspections and conducts safety meetings.
  • Prepares work schedules and/or reports.
  • Maintains vehicle files and schedule vehicle maintenance.
Qualifications:
  • Two to five years of experience in a company plant or warehouse.
  • Knowledge of usage and handling of compressed gases and industrial chemicals.
  • U.S. Department of Transportation regulations of driving.
  • Skilled in directing others.
  • Able to handle/work under pressure.
  • Basic mathematics, such as addition and subtraction of fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to load and unload vehicles using pallet jacks, forklifts, and other equipment.
  • Able to deal with frustrating situations.
  • Prepare reports.
  • Ability to recognize site alarms and malfunctions.
  • Ability to read and understand training materials.
  • Ability to visualize the connections/relationships between piping, valves and other components of the filling and warehouse systems.
  • Provide quick reaction and immediate response to required situations.
  • Must be able to work with heights.
  • Must be able to work around hazardous materials.
This is a full-time position Monday-Friday, must work weekends when needed. Pay rate $24-$25 an hour DOE.Lofton includes benefits including health, vision, and dental. Lofton also offers paid vacation after one year of service.Apply now!#INSJRequirements: Qualifications:
