**Description**
Responsibilities:
* Supervises and coordinates activities of warehouse and shipping employees by
performing the following duties.
* Train employees on safety, equipment and processes
* Schedule assignments and overtime (when needed)
* Plans layout of warehouse and storage areas while taking into consideration: turnover, size,
weight, and related factors of items stored
* Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, and to
determine adequacy of stock levels
* Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock
control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies
* Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow
* Issues written and oral instructions
* Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and
procedures
* Create and maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances
* Investigate and correct errors
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
* One to three years related industry experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of
education and experience
* Possess effective communication skills which include verbal and written
* Must have experience with Microsoft Office
* Willingness to learn mainframe program (Metalware)
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions, and procedure manuals
* Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral
instructions
* Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
