Job Description:Responsible for supporting the design, documentation, requirements management, integration, troubleshooting and/or testing analysis of electronic, mechanical and/or software devices, products and systems. Work with development engineers to support and recommend resolutions. Understand and apply applicable engineering processes. Develop plans and schedules for short-term work activities. Will interface with engineering teams and elevates significant problems to appropriate management. May build customer intimacy through job assignments related system/product acceptance testing or hands-on user training.
- Engineering Services Senior Associate qualified to develop, execute, and support evaluation, testing, and analysis of metallic, polymer, and composite materials used in Aerospace and Defense programs.
- Develop and perform destructive and non-destructive techniques to test material properties with analytical methods.
- Interface with internal customers to assist in the evaluation and application of numerous materials and processes relevant to the technical activities.
- Work in a hands-on laboratory environment involving hazardous chemicals and conditions where safety needs to be maintained using appropriate personal protective equipment and adherence to handling procedures.
- Generate reports of completed work for program/quality/design teams, management, and customers.
Essential Functions:
- Receive and analyze materials following all supplied detailed instructions and procedures
- Make observations and interpret findings
- Design and execute laboratory testing according to in-house procedures, Quality processes, and industry standards such as ASTM, ICP, and ISO
- Work with technicians and engineers to supply programs accurate results and recommendations
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment and assist in ordering supplies
- Follow all safety guidelines
- Ability to plan and work on multiple projects at one time delivering results to required schedules
