Job Description:
Overview The Chemical Packaging Plant is a fast-paced environment and high-volume operation, responsible for manufacturing cleaning products for BISSELL. There are multiple packaging lines, which run 24 hours a day, up to 6 days a week. The standard work shift for a technician is 8 hours per day. As a Warehouse Technician III, you will be part of a collaborative team with opportunities for career advancement by leveraging the BISSELL Skill System that allows for a variety of promotional paths. In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop by supporting liquid filling, packaging, and blowmolding operations. In this position you will be responsible for coordinating shipping and receiving as well as managing inventory and receipts. The position includes picking, placing, and delivering materials to specified areas, and unloading/loading inbound and outbound trailers. You will be responsible for coaching, training, and qualifying other team members on technical skills and standard operating procedures while also providing team member feedback to support their development. Responsibilities
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring a heightened focus on safety and reporting unsafe conditions or accidents.
  • Report issues when they arise - this should be done quickly to minimize any impact on the efficiency of production.
  • Perform physical inventory and input cycle counts.
  • Load/unload trailers per truck diagram.
  • Offload and receive bulk chemical deliveries.
  • Prepare waste shipments and proper hazardous documentations.
  • Properly label incoming materials with correct HMIS labels.
  • Use ERP system (Oracle) to look up and transfer items on forklift computer.
  • Use ERP system (Oracle) to declare (backflush) completed items.
  • Reconcile inventory and sub-inventory transfers.
  • Review ERP system shortage report for discrepancies.
  • Troubleshoot RF unit on forklift.
  • Generate BOL and required shipping paperwork for outbound loads.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement and root cause analysis initiatives.
  • Inspect, receive, and verify incoming materials against BOL.
  • Coach, train, and qualify Warehouse Technician I/II associates on technical skills as it relates to safety, quality, and operational expectations.
  • Assist in writing and improving warehouse process documentation.
  • Unpack, repack, and perform other tasks to prepare product for E-Commerce.
  • Ensure product quality according to specifications.
  • Perform simple and repetitive assembly operations on small parts.
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsEquipment Used:
  • Powered Industrial Truck (PIT)
Requirements:
  • HS Diploma/GED or relevant experience in lieu of
