Job Description:
Position Purpose: The Warehouse Technician is responsible for the performance of warehouse activities at the direction of the Warehouse Manager in a focused manner and in alignment with Pigott's core values. The Warehouse Technician is responsible for receiving products, maintaining inventory, and maintaining the warehouse facility as well as installation equipment, supplies, and vehicles. Core Values

Key Accountabilities:
  • Receive inbound shipments.
  • Prep & kit for upcoming projects.
  • Process & execute product returns and demo requests.
  • General maintenance, cleanliness, and organization of the warehouse, fleet, equipment and tools.
  • Execute project delivery and installation.
Daily Tasks:
  • Schedules and receives inbound shipments.
  • Process shipping and receiving paperwork in Pigott's business system.
  • Prepping/Kitting/Pre-loading Vehicles
  • Deliver products to clients and showrooms.
  • Clean and maintain an organized warehouse.
  • Manage product returns.
  • Maintain and organize warehouse equipment and tools.
  • Follow warehouse standards for cleaning and maintenance.
Additional Tasks May Include, But Not Limited To:
  • Deliver and pick up products, materials, and equipment to and from job sites.
  • Schedule outbound shipments.
  • Deliver and pick up demos.
  • Repair and make modifications to furniture.
  • Assemble custom equipment.
  • Assist with client pick-up orders.
  • Assist with rep and client-owned products.
  • Assist with inventory cycle counts.
  • Snow removal, salt sidewalk, and warming up vehicles during the winter season.
  • Stock warehouse refreshments and utensils.
  • Communicates non-routine system issues to Application Support (IT) and/or Management.
  • Support the Install department as needed including product installations.

Position Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to perform fundamental skills related to technology.
  • Experience with Microsoft products, specifically Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Minimum 1-year related experience in a warehouse environment; or any equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience.
  • Ability to become certified in the operation of warehouse equipment.
  • Prior experience operating warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks preferred.
