A Snap Shot of your Day:Under the general direction of the Maintenance Manager, performs all warehouse and purchasing related functions including, but not limited to receiving, shipping, storing and issuing parts and materials, performing clerical and housekeeping tasks, operating material handling equipment and procurement. May be assigned maintenance activities as requiredHow You'll Make an ImpactReceive, store and issue materials, tools, equipment and supplies. Unload, unpack, identify, inspect and verify shipments received. Mark or tag items with material or parts code. Load, transport and store items in racks, bins, drawers and storage areas. Locate, pick, issue items from stock per warehouse issue request.Transcribes information and completes forms and/or operates computer terminal required to receive, transfer, store, retrieve and issue items, or retrieve and issue tools and equipment. Maintains files related to the warehouse and purchasing functions.Performs monitoring and maintenance of stored material and their inventory level. Assist with taking inventories. Assists in the taking of physical inventories.Processes Field Material Requisitions.Researches and establishes new sources for material, equipment and tools. Processes Purchase Orders and Field Service Contracts. Expedites and follows- up on PO's. Participates in the bidding process.Maintains warehouse and purchasing areas in a clean and orderly condition.What You Bring§ Typically four years of related experience; AA/AS degree or completion of technical courses with 0-2 years of demonstrated experience preferred.§ Intermediate level responsible for performing sophisticated work assignments involving some independent judgment to decide a course of action consistent with established functional and organization's policies and goals. General understanding of concepts within related field as well as other technical functions in related field. Able to complete tasks in accordance with project procedures and applicable codes and/or standards. Able to discuss routine technical problems and communicate effectively with immediate supervisor and other project personnel.§ Intermediate to advanced proficiency with applicable software applications in related field. Solid analytical and problem solving skills. Accuracy and attention to detail important. Ability to meet targets and handle priorities is important.§ Effective written and verbal communication skills in English is essential. Usually able to explain why things are done the way they are within a broader organizational context. Dedication to customer service and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
