A position has been declared open in the Weber School District at the Warehouse for a Warehouse Laborer. This position is for 5.00 hours per day, 12 months per year, for a total of 257 days. THIS POSITION WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL FILLED, AFTER A MINIMUM OF 5 WORKING DAYS. Purpose Statement The job of Warehouse Laborer for Tech Services was established for the purpose of effectively transporting technology equipment throughout the district as well as helping with various tasks in the technology warehouse. This job reports to the District Technology Director. Essential Job Functions
- Technology Warehouse:
- Assist in the organization of items throughout the warehouse.
- Coordinate with other warehouse workers and help with various warehouse tasks.
- Deliver and pick up technology throughout the district as assigned.
- Stock equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining required inventory levels.
- Set up and organize spaces for meetings and events.
- Break down and bail boxes to keep warehouse free of clutter.
- Organize, palletize and wrap items for delivery.
- Assist in unboxing and organizing of new technology deliveries.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be able to set and meet deadlines and schedules; set priorities; work with detailed information/data;
- Must be efficient with time when prioritizing deliveries and pick-ups and assist with other Chromebook-related tasks at all other times.
- Must be able to adhere to safety practices;
- Must be able to prepare and maintain accurate records;
- Must be able to communicate with diverse groups;
- Must maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others;
- Must be comfortable unboxing, transporting, and carrying computers, Newlines, Chromebooks, boxes and other various technology related items.
- Must have a valid driver's license and be comfortable driving to many locations on a daily basis.
Physical Requirements:
- Strength and Stamina: Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects weighing up to (weight limit, e.g., 60 lbs.) regularly throughout the shift.
- Endurance: Capability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods, often in a fast-pace environment.
- Physical Agility: Ability to bend, stretch, and reach to handle products and operate equipment.
- Attendance to work is an essential job functions.
