Job Description:

The Workforce Group is currently looking for skilled and certified Warehouse Workers with forklift certification to join our emergency response cadre team. As a Warehouse Worker, you will manage the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move materials within the warehouse. You will play a crucial role in supporting the flow of goods, ensuring that all items are stored and transported correctly. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Location: TBD based on activation Availability: Ideal candidates for these response missions will be available to deploy within 24 to 72 hours of notification. These are contract positions and, if activated, will likely require travel on short notice, generally lasting from several days to a few weeks and possibly 30 days or more, depending on the disaster response needs. Responsibilities:

  • Operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
  • Ensure all materials are stored and handled safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of forklifts.
  • Help in inventory management, including tracking and documenting materials.
  • Perform general warehouse duties, including packing, labeling, and organizing products.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve operational goals.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Valid forklift operator certification. Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
  • Willingness to be on emergency standby and deployed at short notice.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory management.
  • Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
  • Valid Forklift Certification is required.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Working Conditions: This position requires the ability to work in various environmental conditions, including outdoor settings and potentially hazardous environments. Flexibility to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed during emergency deployments. Must be able to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
