Position Type: Maintenance/Custodial/Warehouse/Warehouse Worker Date Posted: 8/27/2024 Location: EC Warehouse Date Available: Immediately Closing Date: Until Filled EAST CENTRAL INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT Job Announcement Warehouse Worker The position of a Warehouse Worker is available immediately at East Central ISD. All individuals (district employees included) who are interested in this position must apply online through Frontline via the district website. PRIMARY PURPOSE: Assist in receiving, storing, issuing, and delivering equipment, tools, and supplies and maintaining inventory control. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in receipt of shipments and accounting for items on the invoice. Assist in filling orders for supplies. Assist in maintaining supplies in an orderly fashion. Assist with supplies inventory. Load and deliver supplies and equipment on a daily basis. Unload all deliveries to the district warehouse. Complete transfers of district equipment and supplies. Assist in moving all district staff. Assemble furniture and equipment as necessary. Be knowledgeable of and use safety procedures at all times. Pickup and deliver district ponies. Perform other duties as assigned. Note: Not all applicants will be interviewed. Each applicant's resume, application, and other available information will be considered in the screening process. Only those persons currently meeting all of the minimum requirements will be screened. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certification: High school diploma or equivalent required Special Knowledge/Skills: General knowledge and skills in the area of assignment Possess and retain qualifications acceptable to the district and the District's insurance carrier for operating District-owned motor vehicles, to include a commercial driver's license Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to understand and follow detailed written or verbal instructions Ability to perform basic math Ability to communicate effectively with others EQUIPMENT USED: Standard office equipment including computer and peripherals; forklift or hydraulic lifting equipment; hand truck, dolly, and pallet jack; small hand tools; light truck or van, as well as a forklift, ladders, dollies, pallet jacks, utility van, and trailers. WORKING CONDITIONS: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting. Repetitive hand motions; frequent keyboarding and use of a mouse; frequent walking, climbing ladders and scaffolding; grasping/squeezing, wrist flexion/extension, and overhead reaching; frequent driving. Heavy lifting and carrying (45 pounds and over) on a daily basis. Work outside and inside, on slippery or uneven walking surfaces; frequent exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures, dust, toxic chemicals and materials, noise, and vibration; workaround moving objects or vehicles; may work alone; occasional prolonged or irregular hours.
