**Description**

The Inventory Control Lead will assist with thecontrolling of inventory accuracy and the optimization and utilization of product within the warehouse. The lead will also direct the necessary daily activities to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. In addition, the lead will organize and focus on improved productivity levels in a manner that stresses effectiveness by improving processes as well as the efficiencies of department team members.

**Shift: 7am - 3:30pm**

***Responsibilities:***

* Assist with all cycle count programs and ensure consistency, accuracy, and research all operational problems in inventory

* Manage product optimization and warehouse capacity utilization

* Assist with system upgrades and new modules to improve efficiency

* Maintain records of all variances according to established procedures and ensure accuracy of all product transfers from one facility to other

* Monitor and ensure accuracy of all inventory transactions and maintain records of all cycle counts completed

* Oversee work of all inventory control personnel and ensure achievement of all objectives

* Determine and ensure optimal security of all materials in storage

* Manage all inventory transactions and provide required feedback to management on root cause on discrepancies found

* Thoroughly investigate discrepancies and inventory overage/shortage

* Demonstrate effective communication with management and make recommendations as necessary

* Prepare the team for our annual inventory

* Perform all computer functions related to receipts, transfers, and adjustments to inventory

* Maintain quality control of data, item numbers, digits, barcodes, weights and measures and bin locations

* Other duties and tasks as assigned

* Provide a professional environment with relation to fellow team members, other department members and external customers

* Direct the necessary daily activities to ensure a safe working environment for all employees

* Ensure company policies are communicated, applied and enforced (i.e. operational, safety, administrative, etc.)

* Assist the Inventory Control/Safety Supervisor in evaluating performance variances in order to identify root cause and corrective action

***Requirements:***

* High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred

* 1-3 years experience in warehousing required; previous supervisory experience preferred

* Able to perform clerical and administrative duties with speed and accuracy under limited supervision

* Must be able to lift heavy objects (occasionally between 60-75 lbs.) with or without reasonable accommodation for an entire shift)

* Must be able to work regularly at a height of up to 26 feet above the ground (with provided safety equipment/processes/training)

* Must be a self-starter with the ability to multitask

* Possess excellent judgment and decision-making skills

* Effective verbal and written communication skills

* Proficient using the AS400

* Possess strong PC skills in Word and Excel

* Capacity to effectively plan workload and staff assignments
