**Job Title: Warehouse Worker Level 1**

**Job Overview**

Entry level warehouse position executing daily shipping and receiving duties and the movement of raw materials and finished goods. Daily tasks are completed using PIT equipment and physical labor. After training, employee should be able to execute a minimum of two (2) Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions listed in this job description.

**Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions**

Forklift Operation:

Complete the pre-shift inspection for forklift, including battery maintenance

Operate forklift and reach truck equipment to maneuver products in a quality/safe and efficient manner.

Move products by loading/unloading shipments and storing products in appropriate storage areas Safely operate and maintain material moving equipment such as order pickers, reach trucks, and motorized pallet jacks

Picking:

Prioritize orders based on instructions indicated on picking sheets and understand how the order is processed from the time the product is received to the time it is shipped.

Pick orders by reading pick sheets and handheld RF unit, complete necessary paperwork, move products to the shipping area and operate barcode scanners during order picking as needed.

Follow the correct picking procedures: Match paperwork with product to ensure accuracy in the order.

Reconciliation inventory counts (case and pallet count verification) verify products when needed.

Ensure proper pallets are used per customer requirements.

Bullpen:

Verify cases count and item number for each pallet

Put away finished goods pallets off the wrapper into racks according to standard practices and segregation guidelines

Product rotation as instructed

Pull product down as instructed by the Warehouse Supervisor for inspection/rework

Utilize RF technology and tally sheets for inventory creation, put away and tracking purposes

Loading:

Loading tractors trailers as a continuation of the picking process or loading from a stage location

Count pallets/cases and use RF technology to scan to dock door and/or trailer

Inspect outbound pallets for road worthiness, acceptable skids and proper wrapping

Follow loading procedures, paperwork and use best judgement for proper loading sequence and weight distribution

Operate dock plates, dock locks, dock doors, dock lights and trailers doors in accordance with safety procedures as part of loading duties

Unloading:

Unloading trucks and tractor trailers at the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor in accordance with standard procedures

Product, Make Date/Lot Code and Vat # verification

Attaching License Plates to items in accordance with procedures

Sorting and put away after completing receiving process

Operate dock plates, dock locks, dock doors, dock lights and trailers doors in accordance with safety procedures as part of unloading duties

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

Sweep and maintain a clean and safe work environment

Participate in re-certification for forklift operation, as required

Report any unsafe work conditions that might occur

Follow all site GMP/PPE requirements

Other shipping/warehouse duties as required

Generally standardized procedures involving wide variety of routine tasks or limited variety of semi-routine tasks

Some judgement involved in the making of minor decisions affecting the accuracy and quality of work

Problems can occur and the individual must make decisions within the limits defined by the standard or accepted practice already in place

**Requirements**

High School Diploma Required

Forklift Certification preferred

Prior Knowledge of ERP/RF systems preferred

1-2 years related experience preferred

General supervision is required. Employee generally works alone performing routine work and checks with supervisor only when in doubt.

**Work Environment**

Work environment involves moderate risks or discomforts which may require special safety precautions working around moving machines in production facilities, Protective clothing or gear such as goggles, gloves and shoes may be required. Must be able to work in a cold environment.

**Physical Demands**

Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.

Ability to use hands/arms to reach, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.

Ability to work in multiple areas of the plant and may be exposed to wet and humid conditions.

Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

Must have excellent vision, distant and peripheral, with the ability to identify and distinguish colors, and adjust focus.

Will work near moving mechanical parts, high and/or confining places.

Ability to sit or stand while operation MHE for long periods of time.
