This is a great opportunity for individuals who are safety conscious and have a pleasant, outgoing attitude who want to excel in a warehouse environment.2nd shift available:4 day shift - working days to be determined on start date.12:00pm - finish (10-12 hour days)$18.00 Base rate$1.00 Shift premium$1,500 Retention bonusWeekly attendance bonus (mon-thurs up to $3 extra per hour & fri-sun up to $5 extra per hour)Performance bonus (up to $10 extra per week; per number of total cases picked per/hour)Additional Benefits:Paid Time OffMedical InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceLife Insurance401KAssociate Referral ProgramOur associates also enjoy numerous associate discounts and opportunities to grow with the organization!Apply Online Today!Job Responsibilities:Working area in a refrigerator 32 to 65 degrees in temperatureAccurately match numbers & lettersAccurately stage and sort products for loadingMaintain a clean and safe work areaSorts and places parts in racks or other designated areasStacks cardboard boxes and palletsMove materials within the warehouseComplies with all safety requirementsPackage or kit finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling)Electronically scan products using a warehouse management systemQuality controlEnsure damaged products are identified and removed when receivedComplete daily logsCommunicate with associates from other shiftsAttach identifying tags to containers, or mark them with identifying informationRead work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needsRecord numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work ticketsAssemble product containers and crates, using hand tools and precut lumberPack containers and re-pack damaged containersReads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributedSorts and stores perishable goods in refrigerated rooms (32 to 65 degrees in temperature)Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping departmentUses computer to enter recordsOperate pallet jacks and a variety of warehouse mechanical equipment (where applicable)Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisorQualifications:No prior warehouse experience required but preferred.High school diploma or equivalent preferredProficient reading skills and ability to follow directions requiredAbility to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills requiredFlexible to work overtime preferredAbility to work in non-climate-controlled conditions requiredRegular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the jobAbility to work independently, customer service, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, and time management skills requiredWillingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location requiredComplete a Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.This position is designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required.
