John Tillman is hiring a Receiving Clerk for their Compton California warehouse. The Receiving Clerkis responsible for accepting shipments and verifying that the correct amounts and types of items were received. It also involves inspecting the goods in order to ensure their quality. The Receiving Clerk will also manage the process of item location and movement within the ERP system.

**Responsibilities:**

* Compare packing lists to company purchase orders and ensure that the products in each delivery match the packing list.

* Update the product inventory as products are received and added to our inventory.

* Receive all materials/packages and transact receipt in the ERP system

* Responsible for system integrity in regards to all receipts.

* Maintain strict material handling practices in accordance with good practice and procedures.

* Verify all material received for conformity with accompanying paperwork, checking for damage, correct part numbers and quantity as required.

* Interface with traffic, quality control, purchasing and other related departments to resolve problems relative to receipt and distribution of material.

* Operate forklifts and material handling equipment per safety procedures.

***Requirements:***

* High School Diploma/GED required

* Must have a minimum of 2 years work experience in warehouse operations

* Strong PC skills to include Microsoft Word and Excel.

* Previous experience with SAGE ERP preferred.

* Must possess an understanding of OSHA safety rules for warehouse work

* Must have attention to detail and ability to review work for any discrepancies.

* Excellent communication and customer service skills required.

* Must have the ability to multi-task.

* Ability to be versatile, can adapt to a fast paced environment with attention to detail.
