Job SummaryThe Warehouseman is responsible for efficiently managing the movement and handling of materials within the plant site. This role involves operating equipment such as overhead cranes and forklifts, handling inventory, maintaining production line equipment, and performing various related tasks.Job ResponsibilitiesMaterial Handling: Operates overhead cranes and forklifts to load and unload materialsInventory Management: Receives incoming inventory, ensuring proper tagging and documentationProduction Support: Maintains production line equipment with necessary raw materials to minimize downtimeComputer Operations: Utilizes computer systems to tag, ship, and receive materialsAdditional Duties: Performs other tasks as assigned by the supervisorQualificationsEducation and/or Experience: High School diploma or GED required. 1 to 3 months of related experience or training preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceMathematical Skills:Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) with whole numbers, and use units of American money and measurements for weight, volume, and distancePhysical Requirements: Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobilityReliability: Demonstrated reliable work historyAttention to Detail: Must be detail-oriented with a strong focus on precision and quality in all inspection tasksEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
