Job Description SummaryReports directly to the Raw Materials Warehouse LBUC. Is responsible for moving (raw, in-process, and finished goods) materials into, through and out of the Warehouse area, also out of Post-Sterile area. Using available hand equipment and forklift trucks to move materials. Responsible for controlling the receipt, storage, and issuance of labels/cannula used in the manufacture and distribution of medical devices product. Become a maker of possible with us.Responsibilities:Supply operators with necessary materials to maintain production as directed by Supervisor.Open cartons, crates and bags as necessary to make material readily available to operators. Break down empty containers and stack on pallet.Remove empty containers to recycling area. Empty trash into outside trash container. Maintain cleanliness of work area.Operate hand truck or forklift as required to provide materials to production area. Use hand truck to move materials within the production area.Requisition materials from warehouse/label room through the use of SAP.Check all materials from warehouse to accurate item, count and condition prior to acceptance. Store incoming materials as soon as possible after receiving them.Perform label control making sure accurate lot numbers, quantities and labels are used.Transport finished goods to assigned areas.Observe all safety standards, environmental procedures and QSR's.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs miscellaneous duties as required by the Supervisor/Lead.Minimum Requirement:High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experienceMinimum 1 year manufacturing experience required, 3-5 years preferredMinimum 1 year of sit down forklift experience required, 3-5 years preferredExperience operating Material Handling equipment such as pallet jack, hand held devices, order guns/scanners, etc.Computer Literacy and SAP experience preferredWork Environment:BD is a smoke-free campus.
