Our Warranty Reduction Specialist will lead efforts to identify Service Part Warranty (SPW) spend reduction actions and work with cross-functional activities to implement actions in support of spend reduction objectives.

This position is a located in Southeast Michigan.

In this position, you will be responsible for:

  • Support delivery of the SPW spend reduction objectives for Ford Customer Service Division (FCSD)

  • Lead for analyzing, identifying, and implementing SPW spend reduction actions, including working with cross-functional activities

  • Lead development of business cases and action plans for top issues or emerging issues

  • Work with cross functional activities to implement actions, as required

  • Work collaboratively with other SPW team members

  • Lead/support on-site warranty part reviews at the Warranty Parts Analysis Center (WPAC)

  • Provide necessary warranty support to the engineering activities

  • Support SPW Global Warranty Chargeback (GWC) Specialist in resolving complicated supplier disputes and managing resample requests, as required

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives

  • Additional responsibilities, as assigned by management

  • Major interfaces include: Service Parts Engineering, Product Development, and other SEO departments

You'll have:

  • Bachelor's Degree required

  • Overall knowledge of vehicle systems & operations, and mechanical light repair procedures required

  • Understanding of diagnostics and repair procedures required

  • Strong problem solving ability

  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with other areas of the company and suppliers

  • Solid written & verbal skills to communicate project status and results on a regular basis

  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Strong project management skills with the capability of organizing & managing numerous projects simultaneously from inception/feasibility, through implementation

Even better, if you have:

  • Previous Certified Automotive Technician & Dealership experience is preferred

  • Previous Ford Tech Hotline/Prior Approval, and Warranty experience is preferred
