Based in Rawlins, WY, you will join our Petroleum and Petrochemical Services Team and will assist with on-site waste management support at an industrial facility. In this position, you will coordinate waste shipments for hazardous and non-hazardous waste, coordinate wash pad operations and track usage, manage and sample drums and waste containers when filled, track waste generation dates and shipment timelines, verify manifests are signed and returned within regulatory guidelines, submit exception reports as needed, and generate draft waste shipment profiles for client signature. In addition, you will assist with chemical inventory data management, landfill oversight and inspection, excavation soil management, and scrap metal management. This position involves communicating with various departments and contractors. This position offers an excellent foundation for career growth in environmental consulting. Position Responsibilities
- This position consists primarily of field-based work and requires walking and standing for extended periods, lifting, as well as an ability to work comfortably at heights
- Due to the outdoor nature of the role, work occurs in all weather conditions
- This role involves approximately 40 hours per week on a 9/80 schedule
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age and have a clean driving record and current driver's license.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
- Acceptable employment history with a demonstrated commitment to safe work practices.
- Possess a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry, environmental science, or similar.
- Acceptable written and oral communication skills with a strong desire to build successful relationships with clients and project team members.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with word and excel.
- Technical and problem-solving skills, including attention to detail and accuracy.
- A basic mechanical aptitude and an independent work ethic.
