The individual selected for this position would handle the operation of the Wastewater Treatment system at Chippewa Falls facilities.
The individual selected for this position must be a self-directed, dependable employee. This person will maintain supply water to the degree of purity specified and keep outgoing waste water within environmental regulatory limits. This person will prepares hazardous waste for treatment or shipment to a designated facility. The technician provides technical support and regulatory information about environmental operations to management staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Performs routine and as needed analysis of solutions from the wastewater treatment system in such a way as to maintain the effluent from the system in compliance with all local, state and federal regulations.
* Performs chemical analysis for same.
* Insures that facility is in compliance with solid hazardous waste regulations or RCRA (Resource Conservation Recovery Act).
* Identifies chemical, mechanical, electrical conditions that affect or have the potential to affect the operations of the wastewater treatment system.
* Operates and monitors incoming water treatment systems (softeners, RO and deionizers).
* Prepares hazardous waste for shipment in compliance with U.S. Department of Transportation and U.S.E.P.A. regulations.
* Cleans hazardous material containers prior to recycling or disposal.
* Troubleshoots all water treatment systems and determines when to contact outside help.
* Annual RCRA training/certification which is required by the EPA.
* DOT (Department of Transportation) training required every 3 years.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Essential Knowledge and Skills:
* Basic understanding of industrial electronics.
* Plating experience and/or chemical laboratory experience highly desirable.
* Ability to lift 50 pounds.
* Ability to work alone for extended periods of time.
* Good mechanical aptitude.
* Ability to stand for entire shift.
* No diminished pulmonary function or other respiratory or nervous disorders.
* Position involves understanding the chemical, electrical and mechanical functions of several different systems.
* Must also interface well with production and maintenance personnel.
* Must have excellent problem solving skills.
Education and Experience:
Education:
* High School diploma is required.
* Associates Degree would be preferred
Preferred Experience:
* 1-3 years' experience in water and wastewater treatment systems preferred.
* 1-3 years' experience in hazardous waste management preferred.

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that my be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.
