For more than 25 years, Woodard & Curran has offered contract operations and management services for drinking water, municipal and industrial wastewater, groundwater remediation, and solid waste facilities nationwide. Currently we contract operate more than 50 facilities nationwide. Woodard & Curran draws on the experience of hundreds of certified operators across the country, backed by the knowledge and skills of hundreds more engineers, scientists, and regulatory experts, to quickly tackle the most challenging operational issues and keep treatment plants running efficiently and in full compliance.

Woodard & Curran has an immediate opening for a certified wastewater operator in our St. Charles, Missouri treatment facility, however, we are also open to training someone new to the industry who is looking for a stable career opportunity! The Wastewater Operator regularly participates in the daily operations and maintenance of the Wastewater Treatment facility as directed by the Project Manager. Schedule: Monday through Friday: 6:00am - 2:00pm

What will you be doing at Woodard & Curran?

* Monitor water and wastewater treatment plant processes and equipment both manually and via SCADA automation, making adjustments as necessary to control their operation.

* Monitor remote pump stations with inspections and daily sampling as required.

* Perform water quality sampling, testing, and analysis to determine compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

* Operate, maintain, control, and perform routine repair of plant equipment, including preventive maintenance duties.

* Utilize software programs for maintenance work orders and maintains all necessary records which entails data entry and report generation, including data for preparing the Monthly Operating Report.

* Perform general maintenance duties of plant and other assigned duties.

* Participates in the daily operations of the wastewater treatment facility as directed by the Plant/Project Manager.

* Assists in the operation of assigned treatment, mechanical and electrical equipment and other similarly related facility components and equipment.

* Monitors and controls assigned tasks to ensure cost-effective service to meet budget.

* Coordinates to ensure that other facility employees follow established administrative, safety, and operating policies.

* Transporting biosolids to the landfill

What will you need to succeed?

* High School Graduate or Equivalent, or technical/vocational school background.

* Valid Driver's License required.

* A valid State of Missouri Water or Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators license is preferred, or the ability to obtain a minimum of a Missouri DNR Class D wastewater certification by the end of your first year of employment.

* Ability to make sound decisions in process control and follow instructions, as well as follow safety procedures.

* Successful candidates will be required to complete a DOT background check and DOT pre-placement physical and DOT drug screen before employment.

* A Class A CDL

$28.85 - $34.70 an hour

The salary ranges given below are a national average only and may be different for this role based on specific collective bargaining agreements or contract requirements.

Please reference this project specific pay range instead. In addition, for facilities that are unionized and receive benefits through the union, the benefits may differ from what is listed.

Uncertified Operator - $28.85

Class D Operator - $32.17

Class C Operator - $33.48

Class B Operator - $34.28

Class A Operator - $34.70

Additional $1.50 for being CDL Driver
