As a Water Resource Engineer for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you will work with project teams to design and analyze a variety of water retaining and shoreline structures, such as dams, piers, wharves, and floating docks for both public and private sector clientele. You will also interact with permitting agencies to prepare and procure the many permits that are required for water related facilities. You will assist in the development of construction and permit drawings, technical or performance specifications, design reports, and calculation briefs for the project. Additionally, you will interact with other CEC peers in the geotechnical, structural and civil group to develop these components of design. During construction, you will participate in the bid and procurement processes and provide quality assurance support during construction.

Qualifications

B.S. Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering;
• 0-4 years of experience with water resources projects in one or more of the following areas: hydrology and hydraulics, stormwater management and compliance, dam safety engineering;
• Demonstrated experience with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HydroCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D;
• Experience producing engineering drawings;
• Writing skills and preparation of technical reports; and,
• Experience with Unsteady Flow and 2D Hydraulic Modeling preferred, but not required.
