MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
Engineering utility technical training or certification.
5 years of experience as a field inspector, operator technician in field operations and standards for water/wastewater.
Knowledge of water/wastewater operations and maintenance.
Valid Driver's License (subject to motor vehicle record review).
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:
Performs monitoring and field checks of District and Headquarters operations and maintenance scheduled tasks to ensure the O&M Program is being executed.
Performs instruction and training as needed or requested to enhance the program or to roll out new or improved O&M tasks, procedures and processes.
Assists Engineers and HQ water and wastewater operations team in developing, creating, implementing and improving the O&M program.
Performs field investigations of reported operational issues and deficiencies. Assesses situations, researches, interviews and provides written reports to management of findings including any recommendations for corrections or adjustments.
Maintains records of O&M program compliance and status report to Headquarters Water/Wastewater Engineering Manager, Deputy General Manager, and management for follow up adjustment or performance measurement.
Prepares special reports and templates in response to internal and external requests in order to provide accessible data for reliable analysis, management review, research purposes and/or reporting requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned.
