Water & Wastewater OperatorThe Town of Jamesville is seeking a Water and Wastewater operator with supervisory skills within thestate of NC. The town is seeking proactive individuals with the ability to function as part of a team orindependently under general supervision. This position is mid to upper level staff position within thetown and individuals are expected to use their management, customer service, and analytical skills toidentify and resolve issues. This position will supervise personnel and assignments within the publicworks department, including but not limited to; streets, parks, cemeteries, water/sewer maintenanceand installation. Important qualities include: ability to write and communicate effectively, attention todetail, ability to take initiative to complete various tasks, ability to prioritize and assign work assignments,effective supervisory skills, and the ability to evaluate issues from multiple perspectives. Primary dutiesand responsibilities: operation, maintenance and management of critical water and wastewaterinfrastructure, insuring a high level of customer service and analyzing situations to identify and resolveissues. Weekend work is required as needed.Certification requirements are: Wastewater Grade 2 License, Collection 1, B Well and B Distribution. Ifapplicant doesnt have state certifications, he/she must be willing to attend schools to obtain requiredcertifications.The applicant must possess a valid NC Drivers License. Minimum requirements are: High School Diplomaor GED, able to read and write the English language, basic mathematical calculations, and must livewithin a 45 mile radius of the Town of Jamesville or willing to relocate. Starting salary will depend onexperience and qualifications. Pre-employment drug screen and background check required.
