Water/Wastewater Project EngineerDelon Hampton & Associates, Chartered (DHA) is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer with pipeline rehabilitation and bypass experience for a program management contract.SALARY RANGE$104,000 to $166,400‍ResponsibilitiesAssist project managers with comprehensive project planning and execution;Provide support for permitting processes and regulatory compliance;Contribute to project designs and preparation of Requests for Quotation (RFQ) and Requests for Proposal (RFP)Review and evaluate design and construction submittals;Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment; andManage and monitor project schedules and budgets to meet deadlines and financial targets.QualificationsBachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field;3 to 8 years of relevant engineering experience;Professional Engineering (PE) license in Washington, DC, or the ability to obtain one within one year;Preferred familiarity with trenchless technologies for pipeline upgrades, project permitting processes, and bypass systems;Knowledge of DC Water design standards is preferred;Experience with project management software and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs is preferred; andStrong verbal and written communication skills are essential.Working ConditionsWork is performed within a general office environment about 80% of the time. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Field work is required about 20% of the time where work may be conducted outside in one or more of the following conditions: heat or cold, wet or humid, and dry or arid. Must be able to work in confined spaces. Some lifting (up to 25 lbs.) may be required as needed.
