Responsibilities associated with this position include supervising staff; prioritizing and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations; ensuring staff is trained and following policy and procedure; maintaining a healthy and safe working environment; and making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations. The incumbent will also assist staff with the sampling and testing of water quality, inspecting plant equipment and machinery, scheduling repairs, and performing other duties of a similar nature.Other Job Requirements/InformationThis job is a safety sensitive position that will require a pre-employment drug test and subsequent random drug and alcohol testing.GradeThe grade for this position is B32(3). Salary will be dependent on education and experience. Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, or G.E.D. AND
  • Three (3) years of water treatment or wastewater experience; OR
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Class I certification/license in water/wastewater (Current certification / license must be attached to this application for consideration).
