Job Title: Production Packer

Job Description

We are seeking a Production Packer to join our team. In this role, you will work on the production line, ensuring that wax is weighed and packaged correctly and efficiently. You will be required to follow strict FDA regulations and work in a cleanroom environment. This position involves standing for the entire shift and performing repetitive tasks, including quality control testing and packaging. Ad hoc tasks will be assigned by the Team Leader or Department Supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Weigh wax and package it in appropriate packaging.

  • Perform tasks efficiently with minimal wasted time or materials.

  • Hand load appropriate raw material for the next wax load according to the schedule.

  • Complete assignments that comply with predetermined quality standards.

  • Perform quality control testing.

  • Follow work instructions and workflow diagrams.

  • Continually improve skill and product base.

  • Ensure workflow is continuous.

  • Complete ad hoc tasks as directed by the Team Leader or Department Supervisor.

Essential Skills

  • 6+ months of production experience.

  • Ability to lift 10 pounds.

  • Ability to stand for the entire shift.

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working with chemicals.

  • Experience in labeling and assisting with shipping duties.

Work Environment

This role requires working in a very clean GMP facility that is climate controlled throughout the year. The facility includes both offices and a production floor. The work environment is an FDA-regulated cleanroom where employees must wear gloves, hair nets, eye protection, and lab coats/smocks. The dress code includes steel-toed shoes, long pants, and a t-shirt. Shift hours are 1st shift: 6:30am - 3:30pm, 2nd shift: 3pm - 11:30pm, with potential overtime before or after the shifts and some Saturdays. Employees can expect to work 45-50 hours per week.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
