Overview: The Wealth IRA Administrator is responsible for various administration tasks in association with Wilmington Trusts IRA portfolio. Works in conjunction with Relationship management teams and back-office partners to assist with standard to intermediate level of complexity account maintenance questions and support transactions.
Primary Responsibilities:- Provides Individual Retirement Account (IRA) guidance and customer service support via phone and email to Relationship management teams and partners throughout the firm. Serves as first-level escalation point for problematic and non-standard type inquiries around IRAs
- Approves IRA transactions in appropriate systems while performing a review of complete and accurate transactions. Reviews various forms of documentation to ensure accuracy for regulatory and other requirements. Conducts account research and investigation to resolve issues and/or inaccuracies
- Builds mutual support and alignment with peers and stakeholders to assist with problem resolution and creating process efficiencies wherever possible
- Embraces agile ways of working combined with personal accountability to achieve results. Utilizes resources and available information to build self-development while always keeping an eye toward future goals
- Sets and aligns daily task priorities to align with the overall goals of the team. Understands how their work contributes to the overall bank vision and strategy and aligns actions accordingly
- Seeks out ideas and best practices and embraces change to deliver an efficient, quality result for the department. Adapts to a competitive landscape and responds nimbly to trends and developments as they occur
- Use tact and diplomacy in a group setting to problem solve unique situations.
- Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company's Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.

- Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable

Education and Experience Required: - Bachelor's degree or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 4 years' higher education and/or work experience
- General understanding of Retirement and IRA accounts
- Proficient personal computer skills with solid knowledge of pertinent office software
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated presentation skills
- Strong customer focus
- Proven experience working effectively within a team environment
Education and Experience Preferred: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- Certified IRA Services Professional (CISP) designation OR Certified IRA Specialist (CIS) designation
Physical Requirements:M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $20.94 - $34.91 Hourly (USD). The successful candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
