protect, and grow their assets to provide for rainy days and bright futures. Data-based and tech

savvy, you have the know-how to make wealth planning crystal clear for clients on paper, plus you

have skills to connect with clients in person and help them deeply understand how to add value to

SUMMARY

The Wealth Planning Team at The Haverford Trust Company is responsible for tailoring customized financial and estate plans to a client's unique financial situation and goals. The Wealth Planner

reports to and partners closely with the VP, Director of Wealth Planning. The primary responsibilities of the Wealth Planner are to manage and serve our existing clients' wealth

planning needs and to nurture new relationships. This position requires frequent client interaction as well as close collaboration with internal contacts at all levels of the organization

Successful candidates will demonstrate a passion for helping others turn life's aspirations into financial realities and will possess a service and detail-oriented mindset. They will enjoy building client relationships, shaping unique solutions, and proactively and productively working with the Portfolio Management Team, Client Service Team and others at the firm. Candidates will be responsible not only for providing sound, comprehensive wealth strategy but also for helping clients make sense of their financial lives in actionable ways.

REQUIREMENTS

• Normal business hours are Monday thru Friday 8:30AM – 5:30PM EST.

• Hybrid work schedule with set days to work from home and in the office in Radnor, PA.

  • Beginning in December 2024, we are having employees spend their Wednesdays in the office with their colleagues to further support client activity and fellow employee growth.

• Periodically, local travel and the need to work additional hours are needed to meet work expectations: we endeavor to provide as much notice as possible in these instances.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Work with Portfolio Managers to identify client relationships for which wealth planning services may add value for the client and the firm, potentially expanding and retaining those relationships.

• In collaboration with Portfolio Managers, assist high net worth individuals and

families in identifying financial, estate, and legacy planning goals.

• Use eMoney financial planning software to build, analyze, and deliver comprehensive

personalized plans to clients.

• Prepare for client meetings by collecting, organizing, and synthesizing client data within a

wealth planning context, using the eMoney software and other applicable tools.

• Foster trusted, long-term relationships to help families proactively navigate life stages, including wealth transfer.

• Maintain contact with clients to revise existing plans based on changes in clients'

objectives and needs.

• Work directly with clients via videoconference, phone, in-person, and email.

Secondary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Educate and inform Portfolio Managers and Investment Officers on client planning opportunities.

• Maintain wealth planning client pipeline, client files, and CRM system.

• Research current trends, legislative changes, and technology within the scope of wealth planning.

• In collaboration with Marketing Team and VP, Director of Wealth Planning, develop

external and internal client communications on planning trends, legislative

changes, etc.

• Attend industry conferences and networking events with a focus on businessdevelopment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education / Experience

• BA or BS degree in Finance or related field.

• Minimum 5+ years' experience in financial and estate planning.

• 7+ years' experience in the financial services industry.

• Understanding of and experience in retirement income planning, asset allocation

analysis, risk management strategies, executive compensation analysis, wealth transfer and

gifting strategies.

• Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) preferred.

• FINRA Series 7 & 63 registrations preferred.

• Advanced degrees or designations such as MBA, JD, CLU®, CPA or ChFC preferred.

• Experience with e Money preferred

Technical

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies, such as Orion, and master multiple financial planning platforms and marketing software programs.
