Web Content Specialist Job Descriptions

Department: Marketing

Reporting to: Senior, Digital Marketing Manager

Location: Remote / East Cost Preferred

Position Summary:

Trulieve is looking for a detail-oriented individual with excellent grammatical and proofreading skills, with the technical skills to make updates and manage our corporate website(s). Experience with AEM or enterprise content management systems (CMS), digital asset management systems (DAM), and web creative marketing tools is required. Key initiatives for this position include migrating content from collaborative tools to live web pages, collaborating with internal stakeholders and locations to guide new web content, troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges and display issues with digital applications and CMS, establishing and supporting digital asset management processes, execute SEO initiatives and best practices, and ensure compliance with corporate website policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, mobile-first strategic thinking, and acute technical abilities.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the web content submitted to ensure accuracy and style consistency with established guidelines, and occasionally make copy edits to web content to conform to requirements, style guidelines, and SEO best practices
  • Create landing pages and personalization components to enhance digital marketing effectiveness
  • Write web copy and adapt existing copy when necessary
  • Manage existing content and regularly scheduled content updates
  • Actively identify areas of improvement and make suggestions to the digital marketing team with mobile-first strategies
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop web pages with various mobile-first CMS tools
  • Support process documentation and establish process flows to cross-train internal teams and supporting vendors
  • Report on website traffic and make suggestions to improve traffic flow and enhance the digital journey
  • Use the website and click stream data to continuously enhance the customer journey and drive traffic to the shop pages
  • Update the website with daily promotional content
  • Work with cross-functional teams to audit e-commerce platforms to ensure the correct product descriptions and imagery appear
  • Submit creative briefs to ensure we have optimized imagery on the website for blogs, landing pages, etc.
  • Work with the Brands team to ensure our house brands consistently update with accurate information, imagery, and descriptions

Preferred Software/Platform Experience:

  • Enterprise Content Management Systems (CMS) SaaS
  • Digital Asset Management (DAM) Platforms SaaS
  • eCommerce
  • Google Suite: Analytics, GTM, GMB, AMP, Search Console, Measurement
  • SEO mobile-first Optimization Tools

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors, Portfolio, and/or Certificates in Web Design/Development/Programming or related.
  • 2-3 years experience with mobile-first CMS management in CPG, DTC, B2C, retail focused industries.
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
  • Ability to be both a self-starter and team player
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Basic Adobe Suite Knowledge
  • Basic SEO and eCommerce knowledge
  • Knowledge of accessibility best practices for the web
  • Must have strong copywriting skills and working knowledge of HTML

Salary will be commensurate with experience. A comprehensive benefits package including paid time off is offered with this position. This position will work an average of 40 hours per week and will be available after hours if an emergency situation should arise.
