Job Description:As a WebSphere Application Server & Cloud System Administrator, you will administer WebSphere environments and manage cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google) in a multi-tier and multi-platform enterprise-class setup. This role involves system maintenance, troubleshooting, and providing technical guidance to ensure seamless system performance and application integration. Key Responsibilities:
- Administer WebSphere Application Server environments, performing upgrades, patches, and security fixes.
- Monitor and troubleshoot system and application performance, resolving complex technical issues.
- Install, configure, and deploy WebSphere servers on AIX and Linux, ensuring system reliability and scalability.
- Manage cloud platforms, including Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud, for deployment and maintenance of applications.
- Automate tasks using scripting languages and implement CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins, Ansible, and Bitbucket.
- Support and enhance integration platforms, including Salesforce and MuleSoft.
- Ensure secure configurations using Single Sign-On, SSL, and firewall management.
- Provide technical consultation to development teams, supporting API development and integration efforts.
- Participate in system and software audits, ensuring compliance with security and quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define strategies for new technology implementation.
Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:
- 8+ years in WebSphere administration.
- 2+ years in cloud product administration.
- 5+ years in application security product administration and integration platform management.
- 3+ years of providing guidance on emerging technologies.
- Proficient in Unix, Linux, and Windows OS with advanced troubleshooting skills.
- Strong knowledge of cloud monitoring tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Splunk) and CI/CD processes.
- Experience with web services, data integration, and message transformation (e.g., JSON to SOAP).
- Skilled in system security, API management, and performance tuning.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills to manage deployments and stakeholder expectations.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent technical study.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Mastery in containerization and microservices deployment (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
- Experience working with government agencies.
- Advanced knowledge of integration frameworks and stress testing methodologies.
