We're looking for an experienced floral designer with expertise in flower production and wedding/event decor. This creative is an avid green thumb, passionate about design, with a knack for speediness and efficiency. You will help with our production team in all aspects of wedding/event studio design and installations. Help us become the leading brand in flowers and a nationwide, socially conscious leader! Requirements:
- 2+ years experience in wedding or event floral design
- Extensive knowledge of flowers and design techniques
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and peak periods
- Self-motivated with a startup mentality and growth mindset
- Shared aesthetic preferences & values with Flowers for Dreams brand
Responsibilities:
- Design large-scale arrangements for our weddings, events, and corporate accounts
- Must be able to design and create boutonnieres, corsages, bride and bridesmaid bouquets, arches, large focal pieces, compotes, ceremony pieces, centerpieces, etc
- Production line designer
- Workstation and studio upkeep, vase and floral prep
- Installation lead during peak seasons
- Prune and process incoming flowers
- Stripping, prepping, and foaming
- Check quality of florals to ensure top quality
- Wedding/event installations and strikes
- Long hours on your feet and with your hands
