**Your New Role...**
Edit breaking news and continuing coverage from reporters and field teams as directed by senior editors on the National News Hub
**Your Role Accountabilities...**
- Edit distinctive news features
- Serve as a front-line editor of internal alerts and digital articles
- Serve as a second set of eyes on alerts and articles
- May also edit breaking news posts for the live stories that are an essential part of CNN's digital coverage
- Serve as a partner to writers in shaping angles and sharpening framing of alerts and articles
- Work with a wide range of copy from a wide range of reporters
- CNN editors must be excellent communicators and diplomats. They are excellent providers of feedback who help elevate CNN's journalism across a wide range of platforms
- May be responsible for commissioning breaking news on occasions
**Qualifications & Experience...**
- Willingness to work weekends: This is a weekend role, with a schedule that will include Saturdays and Sundays. Hours may include early mornings or late evenings.
- Writing, editing, commissioning, pitching, newsgathering/research, collaboration
- Typically has 4 or more years of progressively complex related experience
- College degree or equivalent industry experience

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $73,500.00 - $136,500.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
