Working hours are mandatory Saturday and Sunday 7:00pm - 7:30am with one - two additional shifts during the week. The Weekend Overnight Supervisor is a benefit eligible position offering a competitive salary, shift differential as well as a comprehensive benefits package. Position Summary: Maintain the safety of direct patient care and support services. Promotes the safety/health and well-being of patients. Summary of Essential Position Functions: Always acts for the safety of patients and staff, while providing leadership to the clinical team. Develops and provides orientation to new counseling staff to include facility policies and procedures, basic counseling techniques, group dynamics, chart records and treatment plan assessments. Coordinates between counseling, nursing, medical and admissions staffs. Assists in the selection of new clinical aide staff. Evaluates all clinical aide staff to ensure staff meet departmental and program standards and ensure that all staff behave in ethical fashion. Develops and implements new clinical programs according to patient needs with Clinical Director, including active participation in development of daily therapeutic schedule, evaluation of program and making suggestions for changes and assist in licensure/certification standards and compliance. Delivers lectures and staff workshops and facilitates task groups, as appropriate. Administers all policies according to state and accreditation regulations, and updates staff as necessary. Acts as a member of treatment team. Intervenes in therapeutic process with patients who need special attention. Attends and participates in all required meetings and actively participates in change of shift meetings and provides end of shift report. Maintains all required Clinical and HR documentation Facilitates the admissions process, as necessary. Liaisons with Outpatient Program. Other functions as assigned. Education and/or Experience: A Master's Degree, Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty in the human services) or other related field which and two years of clinical experience in a health or human service agency which includes one year of working directly with the chemically dependent preferred, or Full certification as an addictions counselor & three years of clinical experience in a health or human service agency, which includes one year of working directly with the chemically dependent preferred. Technical/Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Proficient. Knowledge of addiction and basic management principles. Work Environment and Hazards: No hazardous conditions.
