SA Recycling, a leader in the metals recycling and processing industry, is actively looking for an experienced Weighmaster (Scale Operator) to join our Dalton team. This role is vital to the successful operations of the yard as you are the face of the company with our suppliers. You will be responsible for the accurate weighing and grading of incoming ferrous and non-ferrous scrap loads; operating in-bound and out-bound scales; directing drivers to the proper areas for unloading; facilitating payment for in-bound material; and completing all required documentation. The Weighmaster will also perform basic office tasks. This is a fast-paced role, which requires excellent communication and coordination skills.

This position may work outside in varying weather conditions, and SA Recycling strictly adheres to all Metals Recycling Business Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.

Operating hours are from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities of a Weighmaster:

* Responsible for accurate and courteous weighing of all inbound and outbound trucks following company policies and procedures, and state guidelines.

* Accurately sort and weigh inbound ferrous and nonferrous scrap materials from individual suppliers.

* Inspect materials being delivered by the supplier and direct them to the proper location in the yard for drop off.

* Document scrap material and supplier information into ticketing system.

* Provide supplier with a correct receipt of scrap materials delivered.

* Educate, inform, and assist suppliers with required documentation for acceptance of scrap materials.

* Complete and submit all required reports following company policies and procedures.

* Coordinate with dispatch to determine driver schedules and direct yard traffic.

* Perform basic housekeeping duties in the scale house and public areas to main a safe and clean environment for all.

Qualifications of a Kiosk Operator/Weighmaster:

* High school diploma or GED.

* Previous experience as a scale operator in recycling facility, waste transfer station/landfill, quarry, or other similar industry preferred, but not required.

* 1 year of customer service experience in the scrap metal or similar industry preferred.

* Ability to learn and identify ferrous and non-ferrous materials.

* Strong customer service and communication skills.

* Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

* Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.

* Bi-lingual (English & Spanish) language skills a plus.
