DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, you will be responsible for examining and performing accuracy assessments on weighing and measuring instruments utilized in commercial transactions. Your duties will include inspecting goods that are packaged, sold, or available for sale based on weight, measure, or count. Additionally, you will conduct audits of inspections carried out by Certified Examiners of Weights and Measures. Furthermore, you will investigate claims of fraud and misconduct, taking appropriate enforcement actions when required. Interested in learning more?   • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • This is a home-based position; applicants must reside in one of the following counties: Susquehanna, Wyoming, Lackawanna, and Luzerne.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Four years of public contact work, including one year of experience in weights and measures inspections; and graduation from high school. or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the applicant with the requisite knowledge and skills and abilities with weights and measures inspections.
Special Requirement:
  • This position requires possession of a valid PA Class C driver's license.
