Job Summary/Basic Function: The Welcome Center Senior Team Lead serves not only as a tour guide but also assists in the onboarding of new employees, maintains tour expectations of current tour guides, and serves as a leader on the team. This position is for students who have experience working as a Tour Guide at the Welcome Center. We are seeking a student who has worked in the Office of Admissions for at least two semesters.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Ensure all new employees are fully trained on tour knowledge, check-in processes, and office tasks.
• Shadow tours and provide constructive feedback to ensure the highest quality and information accuracy.
• Maintain a positive attitude and approach toward work, visitors, and co-workers to build effective organizational culture.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.; some nights and weekends. Number of scheduled hours depends on student availability and department need.

Required Relevant Education & Experience: High School diploma or GED

Preferred Relevant Education and Experience: Must have 2 semesters of experience as a tour guide and/or demonstrate higher performance and knowledge on campus tours.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Able to work both independently and collaboratively, demonstrate high ethical standards, integrity, professionalism, politeness, and courteousness, excellent customer service skills, and interpersonal skills.
