The Welcome Desk Coordinator will provide leadership to the Welcome Desk Staff to ensure consistent, superior service procedures to maximize member and program enrollment. Must perform all duties of the Welcome Desk Associate according to Welcome Desk Associate job description.Work with limited supervision to coordinate duties of the Welcome Desk Associate and Childwatch team under the direction of the Membership Director.Assists with training and/or scheduling Welcome Desk Associate staff.Assists in delegating/overseeing work from the Membership Director to Welcome Desk Associate staff.Assists with ordering/maintaining Welcome Desk supplies.Able to perform back office functions such as membership data entry.Assists with new member sales strategies, including tracking tours and sending follow up post cards, and member promotions.Coordinates monthly membership connection thank you calls to renewing members and query non-renewals.Assist in keeping member files up to date.Assists with coordinating invoices and annual membership renewals.May assist with generating Third Party Billing reports (Silver & Fit, SilverSneakers and Renew Active)Assists with collection of outstanding membership balances.Assists Membership Director in reaching monthly goals for numbers for prospects toured and new members enrolled.Assists with updating email address mailing lists.May assist with invoicing locker rentals and facility rentals or delegates to appropriate Welcome Desk Associate.Maintains professionalism and supports a safe, clean, and organized work environment to ensure positive image of YMCA.Assists with providing up to date information on bulletin boards and magazine rack.Provide leadership for an effective tour and enrollment procedure via desk staff.Help with other tasks as assigned including bulk mailings, membership campaigns, Quality 1st Program, membership promotions, open houses, and other assignments for the good of the YMCA.Work with wellness staff, Childwatch and Youth/Family staff to ensure the programs and services are providing a quality membership experience.Work with wellness staff to be knowledgeable regarding wellness equipment, classes and personal training to answer potential member and member questions/concerns.Responsible for assisting with annual support campaign and articulating to members to increase awareness and participation.Act as the membership contact in the absence of the Director.LEADERSHIP COMPETENCIES:

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have 1 year as a Welcome Desk Associate OR 3 years of customer service experience
- High school diploma or GED certification
- Proficient computer skills
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish ability is a plus
- Previous experience in service-oriented or sales environment required
- Skills in problem solving, relationship building and communications
- Ability to work calmly under all conditions
- Use independent initiative and thinking
- Work well in a team setting
- Ability to multi-task
- Adult and Pediatric CPR, first aid and AED
- Complete Listen First training within one year of employment
