- Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and co-workers as outlined by the company's policies.
- Welding – you will be required to operate equipment using processes such as:
Gas metal arcFlux-cored arcShielded metal arcTIG welding within the parameters outlined in our weld procedures. Welds will be cleaned and inspected for quality and attention to detail.
- Knowledge and use of hand tools of the trade. – All Munroe welders and layout/Fitters are expected to properly and safely use tools of their trade which include, but are not limited to; all required PPE at all times while in the shop, various grinders, tape measure, torches, plasma cutting torch, powered saws, calipers and other precision measuring equipment.
- Material Handling – Knowledge and safe use of overhead cranes, jibs hoist and fork lifts.
Minimum requirements:
- Candidate should have a basic welding aptitude and knowledge. A technical degree or related work experience with ASME code and pressure welding is preferred.
- Must possess basic blue print reading skills and weld procedure interpretation
- Pre-employment drug screen, and physical is mandatory
- Must be able to wear, use, and facilitate all required PPE
Physical Requirements- Lift a minimum of 50 - 70 lbs.- This is primarily a standing position, with the majority of tasks be completed in the standing position. Some overhead reaching, walking, bending and stooping may be required. Requirements- Must pass background and drug screen.- Must pass physical exam.
