C&P Direct Labor MFG - FabricationShift Hours: Monday to Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm Overview: Welders are responsible for receiving the prepared and fitted materials and welding them. Essential Duties: Grinding and preheating the steel with a torch. Moving materials through the operation of cranes and/or forklifts. Welding of components in accordance with weld procedures and reading blue prints. Perform visual welding inspections. Assist the department foreman in meeting production targets. Maintain quality standards. Keep work area free of hazards, safety is the priority. Notify managers concerning any non-conformities and the need for repairs to the facility or equipment. Maintain a healthy and safe working environment. Ideal Candidate: Must be able to pass the Bergen welding test. Candidates must be able to measure quickly and accurately in order to keep scrap at a minimum. Be able to read engineering drawings. Be able to stand and work in a warm environment for an 8 hour shift. Have experience in MIG/MMA/FCAW welding process. Be able to work independently and efficiently. Committed to safety and a clean work environment. Team work and collaboration is key. Be able to lift and carry heavy objects (over 50 pounds). Other details
