Duties for Fabricator/Welder:
- Perform welding operations according to specifications and blueprints
- Set up and operate welding equipment, including rigging and power tools
- Inspect welds for accuracy and quality using micrometers, gauges, and other measuring instruments
- Interpret and follow schematics, diagrams, and blueprints to ensure proper welding techniques and procedures
- Use hand tools and equipment to clean, prepare, and finish welded parts
- Assist with machining tasks as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand project requirements
Skills for Welding/Fabrication worker will possess are:
- Proficient in welding techniques, with high structural integrity and appearance
- Knowledge of machining processes and equipment
- Ability to use hand tools effectively for cleaning and finishing welded parts
- Strong blueprint reading skills to understand project requirements
