Welder II - 3rd Shift2-3-month contract $25/hourSummary: The position will be responsible for performing high mix/ low volume manual TIG welding of Stainless Steel and Aluminum in a high-quality medical device manufacturing environment. Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate TIG welding equipment using prescribed methods and procedures to weld parts within acceptable tolerances and standards.
- Build weldments through manual layout and manual surface prep processes when required.
- Read and interpret welding blueprints including standard welding symbols, travelers, and other work instruction documents.
- Positions parts are to be joined using fixtures and other holding or positioning devices.
- Use required measuring instruments and gages to check and ensure parts meet dimensional requirements.
- Assist in problem-solving activities
- Capable of mentoring and training Welder I
- Complies with all quality standards.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Vocational / Technical - Completion of welding training program, preferred
- 2 - 3 years Welding experience.
- 2 years of experience working in a solid metal fabrication/machining environment is required.
