The RoleAs a Production Welder/Fabricator for Product Company Indiana, you will strive to provide efficient support to operational staff and us. You must work to address weld/fabrication concerns and meet customer requirements regarding the product, its operation, or its completion. With the support of other teams within the Product Company, you will focus on improving the quality standards defined with each assembly by performing operational welds which is a requirement established by our end customers.As a Welder you will report into Operations through the Production Supervisor.
  • You will Perform welding tasks, such as 1G, 6G, MIG, TIG, or Arc welding, on metal components and structures following project specifications and quality standards, in flat, vertical and overhead positions.
  • You will prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and shaping metal using multiple tools and machinery to ensure fit and alignment.
  • You will read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine the welding specifications and requirements for each project.
  • You will fabricate parts according to specifications using the necessary tools and equipment.
  • You will Inspect welds for accuracy and quality, making necessary adjustments or repairs to meet project requirements to support in maintaining and improving the QMS and ISO 9001 certification.
  • You will follow safety guidelines and protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  • You will Maintain and clean welding equipment and tools to ensure their proper functioning.
  • You will Work with project managers, supervisors, and other team members to coordinate tasks and meet project deadlines.
  • You will complete relevant training and certification in test cell functions.
  • You will organize training and educational manuals for the production test cell team.
  • You will write reports and complete required paperwork legibly.
  • You will have forklift experience.
  • You will have IT skills, especially using test cell electrical components.

  • 2+ years of proven experience as a welder with proficiency in MIG, TIG and ARC welding and structural fabrication, including stainless steel.
  • Strong understanding of various metals and their properties.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Good math and accurate measuring skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Assembly experience with the ability to perform piping runs and can complete stainless steel operations when needed (code compliance).
  • Display mechanical ability.
  • Welding certification or relevant trade school education is a plus.You are fluent in English, as this is our internal language.
