Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is seeking a Welder in partnership with a prominent client in Binghamton and Endicott, NY within the Machining industry. Welder Job Summary Pay:$18.00 - $23.00 per hour 1st Shift: 6:00am-2:30pm Mon - Fri / 2 nd Shift: 2:30pm - 11:00pm Summary: The weld fabricator performs Tig, Mig and/or Arc welding techniques during the assembly process of diversified metal assemblies to the customer drawing specifications and work order instructions. Responsibilities:
- Performance of Mig, Tig and/or Arc welding techniques for fabrication.
- Ensure the welding operations are performed in accordance to the established specifications (i.e.: production work orders and drawings).
- Ensure quality and self-inspection is performed as per procedure using drawings, fixtures, jigs and/or measuring tools.
- Ensure safety while handling parts and operating equipment to avoid any possible damage to others as well as production.
- Actively participate in new product introduction and suggest new approaches and techniques for continued improvement in production and quality.
- Ensure product and work order information is accurate.
- Actively participate in the upkeep and cleanliness of the workplace and general area overall.
- Perform routine welding machine maintenance as stipulated and outlined in the maintenance procedure manual.
- Keep the workplace safe and free of dangerous obstacles.
Welder Qualifications and Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2-3 years of MIG/TIG Welding Experience Required
