Job duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: - Follow documented procedures, standard work, routings, and blueprints to perform safe and defect free operations.
- Hand weld all plain and alloy structural steel in all positions.
- Use of jib or gantry crane to manually position weld equipment.
- Grind and dress fabricated weldments.
- May operate forklift, scissor lift and area lift to access weldments.
Required Qualifications:- 3-5 years of FCAW and experience with 10+ multi-pass welds on heavy 2 plate.
- Experience with back gouging, carbon arcing or air arcing.
- Must pass 3 weld qualification tests using FCAW large diameter wire (3/32 and .052).

- Understanding of quality requirements and ability to execute.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Ability to work well individually and in a team environment.
- Ability to work overtime to support production demands.
Additional Information:- This position is located at the Caterpillar manufacturing facility located in South Milwaukee, WI.
- 2nd and 3rd shift available
- Pay is Step 1 $30.75 Step 2 $31.94 Step 3 $33.12 hr plus an additional $1.00 shift premium for 2nd or 3rd Shift
- Full Time (40 hours, 5 days/week)
