Our client, a leading manufacturer of hydraulic cylinders, is seeking a Welder to join their team. As a Welder, you will be part of the Production Department supporting the welding team. The ideal candidate will have strong welding skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Welder

Location: Hampton, IA

Pay Range: $20 to $25 an hour

What's the Job?

• Perform mig, automatic and/or robot weld operations utilizing blueprints, drawings, specifications, jigs, fixtures, tooling, and computer programs as required
• Make routine first-part and in-process quality checks, utilizing precision measuring instruments to ensure that parts and/or products being produced are accurate to applicable specifications
• Maintain continuous checks on machine operations
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on machines
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma or GED with 1 to 3 years of welding experience
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Welding certification from AWS & ASME is required or the ability to pass AWS & ASME certification test
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine welding specifications
• Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screenings
